Peoples & Things

Peoples & Things is a podcast in which host Lee Vinsel interviews scholars, practitioners, and activists about human life with technology.

New in Season 2, Peoples & Things is a video-first operation, available on the website or YouTube channel, with the audio version on your favorite podcast apps. Episodes are published weekly on Mondays.

Lee Vinsel is a professor of Science, Technology, and Society at Virginia Tech and is the host of Peoples & Things.

In 2015, he, along with Andrew Russell, started The Maintainers, a global interdisciplinary research network dedicated to the study of maintenance, repair, and mundane work with technology.

He and Russell are the authors of The Innovation Delusion: How Our Obsession with the New Has Disrupted the Work That Matters Most, published by Currency in 2020.
